ADHD Therapy for Children Ages 4 and Up
Children with ADHD often experience challenges with attention, impulsivity, emotional regulation, and managing everyday expectations at home and school. I provide individualized, developmentally appropriate therapy for children ages 4 and up, using play-based interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and behavioral strategies to strengthen emotional awareness, self-regulation, and coping skills.
My approach focuses on understanding each child's unique strengths and challenges while working collaboratively with parents to support progress at home and school. For children receiving medication treatment for ADHD, I also help monitor behavioral and emotional changes, assess treatment progress, and provide observations and feedback that families can share with their prescribing provider. With parental consent, I can also collaborate directly with healthcare providers to support a coordinated approach to treatment.
While I do not prescribe medication, I believe ongoing communication and collaboration are important in supporting a child's overall treatment progress.
